St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and California residents are gearing up to celebrate with local parades, festivals, bar hops, and more. From traditional fare to festive ambiance, these cities offer a taste of the Emerald Isle right here in California. As locals and visitors alike prepare to don their green attire and raise a pint in honor of Ireland’s patron saint, this CA Guide has curated a list of top celebrations happening near you to make for a memorable St. Patrick’s Day experience.

173 Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celebration: San Francisco, CA

For Bay area locals, this parade will offer a unique celebration experience. The parade is set to begin on March 16th at 11:30 AM. The parade route begins on Market and 2nd Street and ends at the Civic Center Plaza in front of the City Hall. The plaza will open for food and drinks at 11:30 AM. Upon the conclusion of the parade, live music will resume at 2 PM. Celebrations will continue until 6 PM that night. 

Old Sacramento Waterfront Annual Parade: Sacramento, CA

Come out for the Sacramento Annual Parade in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Located at the Old Sacramento Waterfront, this celebration will take place from 12-5 PM on March 16th. The annual parade will take place from 1-3 PM with live music, celebrations, vendors, and a leprechaun hunt for the children before and after the parade. 

40th Annual St. Patrick Day Celebration: Dublin, CA 

The name says it all for this St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The City of Dublin is set to welcome locals and visitors alike for a celebration like none other including a 200 drone light show, traditional Irish dancing and cuisine, more than 250 fine arts vendors, and more! Come out and celebrate with the locals Irish-style on March 16th from 10 AM to 8 PM and March 17th from 10 AM to 5 PM. 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival: San Diego, CA

San Diego locals can expect plenty of St. Patrick’s Day fun at the annual parade which will take place on March 16th at Fifth and Laurel Street. Festivities will take place from 9 AM through 6 PM with the parade scheduled to start at 10:30 AM. 

California residents and visitors alike can look forward to raising a glass and celebrating the spirit of Ireland at the state’s finest Irish pubs, festivals, and parades.
