Planned Parenthood Spending Thousands of Dollars Supporting Orange County School Board Candidates

The donations bring up questions as to how interlinked Planned Parenthood should be to local school board trustees.

Planned Parenthood has been donating thousands of dollars to local Orange County school board candidates in the 2022 campaign cycle, prompting natural questions by parents of how close the abortion provider should be to elected board members, and as a result, students.

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund has been funding specifically to candidates who appear friendly to their purpose, with receiving candidates often boasting their “Planned Parenthood Endorsed” badges on their campaign websites.

According to public documents retrieved by California Courier, Planned Parenthood often gave the maximum $2,200 donation they were allowed to by law to pro-abortion candidates, quite a large one-time gift for a school board race.

In Orange County alone, Planned Parenthood supported candidates running for the Orange County Board of Education, Newport-Mesa School Board, Garden Grove School Board, Anaheim Union High School Board, Huntington Beach Union High School District, and Orange Unified School District, just in the 2022 election cycle.

Parents of Orange County students have pointed to other areas of the country where it was difficult to undo Planned Parenthood’s grasp of power once they had attained it.

Concerned parents in Oregon discovered that, once contracted with the school district, it became very difficult to remove the Planned Parenthood program that supported “an inappropriate relationship between abortion providers and students.” The parents found an abortion agenda being continually promoted in the schools and had to petition the school board for several years before the board agreed to end the contract.

They found that Planned Parenthood heavily promoted pro-abortion candidates. This allowed for Planned Parenthood to encourage abortions, shuttle minors to an abortion clinic, and provide birth control without parental knowledge or consent. They also paid individuals to go door-to-door in neighborhoods to promote pro-abortion candidates.

“We are empowering the next generation of reproductive health advocates, Planned Parenthood writes on their website. “One day, they will be in positions of authority and can hopefully have some knowledge about Planned Parenthood and help us open more doors.”

Two days ago, the Stop Sexualization of Children Act of 2022 was introduced. The legislation aims to prohibit the use of federal tax dollars to expose children under 10 to sexually explicit material. One of the reasons the legislation was seen as necessary was that nationwide, Planned Parenthood encouraged school boards to introduce radical gender theory curriculum to children under age 10.
